Samsung recently launched its latest flagship lineups, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series. Apart from all the great features and specs, there is one more thing Samsung did at the launch event. That is to maintain the old prices. Samsung did not change the prices of the new Galaxy S23 Series like many thought they would do.
Samsung Drops the Price of the Galaxy S22
Maintaining the old prices also means one thing, that the prices of the previous editions will also drop. After just two days of launching the S23 series, Samsung has already started dropping the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series.
This drop in price currently affects the Galaxy S22 in India. In India, Samsung has dropped the price of the Galaxy S22 by INR 15,000 as compared to its original price.
New Price of the Samsung Galaxy S22
Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 with a price of INR 72,999 ($888). This price was for the base model with 8GB / 128GB storage. As we speak now, Samsung has already dropped this price down to INR 57,999 ($706). You can currently get this price on Samsung’s official Indian website.
Gizchina News of the week
On FlipKart, India’s largest online store, the price even goes lower than what Samsung is Officially offering. Over there, the base model S22 has its price dropped to INR 53,490 that is about $651.
The 8GB / 256GB stotage variant also saw a significant drop in prices just like the base model. At the launching, Samsung placed a price tag of INR 76,999 on this variant ($937). This price has also dropped to INR 61,999 ($754). Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus has its price unchanged. This may be because the phone is currently out of stock in India. Samsung does not also plan on selling the Galaxy S22 Plus and the S22 Ultra on the Indian market anymore.
The new Galaxy S23 comes with some great improvements over last year’s S22. This includes power efficiency and a much more faster CPU. It also comes with a more brighter screen, better sound quality and new connectivity options.
The upgraded features of the Galaxy S23 does not make the Galaxy S22 any lesser. In fact this is the best time to make your Samsung Galaxy S22 purchase. This is because it still possess a lot of power to compete with many flagship phones of today. Especially considering the fact that the Galaxy S22 now has about $200 price cut.
