Honor Magic 5 smartphone is coming to the global market on February 27th, 2023. The brand will launch the smartphone (and possibly other phones) via the MWC Barcelona 2023 event. However, up until now, we had no solid clue about what the device will boast. Well, the phone is now listed in Geekbench, well ahead of its official launch.
This listing gives us some crucial insight into the phone. Not only can you know about the phone’s performance, but it also shows the SoC that the Honor Magic 5 will pack. So, let’s dive in and decode the Geekbench listing, shall we?
Honor Magic 5 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC Confirmed!
The Geekbench listing of the Honor Magic 5 shows that the phone, named PGT-AN00, will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. And in case you didn’t know, it is the current flagship-grade CPU of the Android market.
But did Honor overclock or underclock it? Well, the listing shows that the primary cores of the Magic 5 are clocked at 3.19 GHz. On the other hand, the performance cores are at 2.8 GHz, while the efficiency cores are at 2.02 GHz. And from these numbers, it seems that the SoC is neither overclocked nor underclocked.
Besides that, the Geekbench listing of the Honor Magic 5 also shows that the phone features 12GB of RAM. However, that might not be the only version. There can be other variants too.
