Sony has been a major player in the smartphone market for many years. But the company is known for its conservative approach to product design. To distinguish a new model from a previously released one, you need to take a good look. The renders of the latest Sony Xperia 10 V posted by Thetechoutlook in collaboration with Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka Onleaks, reveal that it will be very difficult to distinguish it from the Sony Xperia 10 IV.

Take a look at the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 V

According to the posted images, the shape of the phone remains the same when compared with the Xperia 10 IV. The frame above and below the screen is still large. And even the camera unit with a flash located outside its perimeter looks exactly the same.

The Sony Xperia 10 V will have dimensions of 153.3 x 68.4 x 8.5 mm (9.4 mm including the protrusion of the camera unit). The screen diagonal will increase slightly from 6 inches in the Xperia 10 IV to 6.1 inches.

Gizchina News of the week

As of now, no further details about the phone are available. However, the current Xperia 10 IV is running on the Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. And it is expected that the new product should get a more interesting chip.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV debuted on May 11 last year, and the Sony Xperia 10 V will also debut in May.

Earlier, the Sony Xperia 5 V was spotted in the Geekbench benchmark. This model will receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and as much as 16 GB of RAM. This is an upgrade from the Xperia 5 IV. Which was available in October 2020 and had the Snapdragon 865 SoC and 8 GB of RAM.

Sony is popular for its conservative approach to product design, and the Xperia 10 V is no exception. The phone’s design remains the same as the previous model, with only a slight increase in screen size. However, the upgrade in the platform and the expected increase in RAM are good indications that the company is moving in the right direction. We look forward to seeing what Sony has in store for the future of its smartphones.
