The much-awaited Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU might hit the market sooner than expected. According to a well-reputed tipster, the GPU is all ready to hit the shelves on April 13, 2023. And this info is in line with the previous rumors regarding the card.
There is a lot of hype regarding the Nvidia GeForce 4070. It will be the green team’s first “affordable” RTX 40 series GPU. In fact, according to what rumors suggest, the GPU will come with a price tag of $699, which is exactly the same launch price as the RTX 3080.
What to Expect from the Nvidia RTX 4070
The non-Ti version of the RTX 4070 is likely to be based on the same GPU as the RTX 4070Ti. And in case you didn’t catch the launch of that GPU, it is based on AD104. However, the non-Ti version will come with fewer cores. From what the rumors suggest, there will be 5888 CUDA cores, which represents a 1782 cut from the full-sized die utilized in the Ti model.

But the good news is that the Nvidia RTX 4070 will launch with the same memory specs as the 4070Ti. That means you can expect to enjoy 12GB of fast GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit interface. The recent leaks also gave us a hint of the power requirements. That is, the card will feature a TDP of 200W.
In comparison, the Nvidia RTX 4070Ti features a 285W TDP rating, suggesting that the new card will be more power efficient. Nonetheless, considering the rumored specs, you can expect the RTX 4070 to offer 29 TFLOPS of FP32 Compute performance. And the expected memory bandwidth is currently sitting at 504 GB/s.
