The upcoming POCO F5 Pro will be revealed pretty soon. It was rumored to come as a rebranded Redmi K60, however, the device does not seem to be a 1:1 copy. In fact, we will see some downgrades that fall like a disappointment for some users. However, at least when it comes to the core, the performance is granted! The POCO F5 Pro was spotted on Geekbench benchmark and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is coming with the new flagship killer.
POCO F5 Pro retains the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
While there will be some differences between the Redmi K60 and the POCO F5 Pro, the CPU is not among them. The listing confirms the last year’s flagship chipset alongside 12 GB of RAM. This is just one of the variants, we also expect a base model with 8 GB of RAM. The listing also confirms the phone runs on Android 13, but at this point, this shouldn’t be a surprise. Getting back to the variants, in China, there is a super variant with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Storage. Hopefully, this one will also make its way to international markets.
Gizchina News of the week
The Geekbench also confirms the phone with model number 23013PC75G. Note that the “G” stands for the global variant. The phone is giving its final steps before the final release. We expect this handset to launch very soon alongside the vanilla POCO F5.
Alleged details
When it comes to the downgrades, the Redmi K60 has a huge 5,500 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the rumors point to a smaller 5,160 mAh battery for the POCO F5 Pro. Also, the Redmi K60 supports wireless charging, and this is something that the F5 Pro will miss. Besides this, the POCO F5 Pro will keep the 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 1,220p resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. We expect LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage standards. Other features include IR Blaster, Stereo Speakers, and NFC. The phone will retain the same 64-Megapixel OIS camera that comes with the regular variant.
Besides the POCO F5 Pro, we will also have a vanilla variant. This one will be a rebadged Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition. This one has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 CPU with the Adreno 725. It has the same 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo retains a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The phone also has a 64-Megapixel main camera, 8-Megapixel ultrawide shooter, and 2-Megapixel macro snapper. We expect the POCO F5 to be exactly similar to its Note 12 counterpart.
