Leaked iPhone 5 Front Assembly Shows NFC Chip!

Just when we though we knew almost everything about the new iPhone 5, another piece of the puzzle hits the web. This time it’s a purported new leaked iPhone 5 front assembly complete with NFC chip!

After seeing iO6 and it’s integrated  ‘Passbook’ app I thought that Apple had decided to pass NFC by, but it seems that Apple are at least contemplating having an NFC equipped new iPhone 5, and may even be manufacturing it now!

Gizchina News of the week

This leaked iPhone 5 photo claims to show the whole front assembly of the new iPhone 5, however unlike previous leaked new iPhone 5 parts which we have seen, this time we get to see what appears to be a Near Field communication chip built-in to the top right hand side!

For those of you who are not sure what NFC is, it is basically a way we can transfer data from one device to another just by brushing them against one another. The technology is already found in many Android phones to pass photos, files and contacts and it can even be used to make payments when connected to your credit card or Google wallet accounts.

It regains to be seen if Apple will actually adopt NFC in the new iPhone 5, or if these leaked components, if genuine, are from a prototype new iPhone 5.
