Samsung shows off Youm Flexible OLED display at CES

Still no sign of new Samsung phones at CES, but they are announcing (and showing off) plenty of great mobile technology such as the Youm Flexible OLED display.

Along with the announcement of Samsung’s new 8-core CPU, we now also have details of their new Youm screen technology.

What this means is that it is likely for future, flagship Samsung phones and tablet to feature a wrap around display. From the picture shown here it seems that the demo phone using the new glass uses the curved area to store most used icons, and we can also see on screen navigation sitting in their nicely.

While it still isn’t clear when Samsung are going to launch Youm equipped devices, there are suggestions that it could be as early as the second half o this year!
