If the difference is so big will be strange to have 003 with HDMI and 003 without HDMI (cheaper) or even USB-OTG function because of different PCB, case.
Of course will be nice to have the cheap one with HDMI and USB-OTG, but without Gorilla Glass, maybe a smaller memory and camera.
Now, with Miracast feature which is standard in Android 4.2 the HDMI is not important anymore so if they will keep the Gorilla Glass and the USB-OTG function for the Youth version, even with smaller camera and memory will be the best buy option.

Moderator, need your help! Can we trust UMI Mobiles India? Is X2 a good mobile? I’m following your posts recently, and it seems that X2 has lost it’s love before release. And btw, the management team in India are very fishy… please advice me whether to buy this or wait for some other mobile from Zopo.

Gorilla Glass is just a brand name for a type of anti-scratch glass. There are plastic & other glass types that have similar qualities but are not branded Gorilla Glass.

Gizchina gets a mention on Engadet.

I saw the Engadget as well. Well done Andi, I always do my g+ / wsite best to link to you. I was taken back by the Engadget mention though.
NOW… forum/website with links how to buy them?? Perhaps with Roms as well?? Perhaps start a thread… have you bought a Chinese phone?? or is there one at XDA or something??
Can’t believe this kinda site doesn’t exist. In fact, it’s the sort of thing the Chinese Government should sponsor to annoy the west. Russia seem to be making some headway though with local support of devices.

Yeah, right $160. Maybe that is like if you buy one right after it leaves the factory in China. Becomes $250 by the time it reaches a somewhat-reputable chinese seller site.
