OnePlus release unboxing video of their first phone, but there’s a catch!


We’ve spoken enough about OnePlus’ marketing campaign that seems to be doing wonders for the infant company. Earlier today, the startup put up a video of their first ever device on YouTube.

But, like we said, there’s a catch. The company has been holding its cards close to its chest, and in no way would you get a glimpse of the device as early as today, with the actual launch scheduled for the 23rd this month. However, the video does show how the packaging will look like.

It’s none other than Steve Kondik of CyanogenMod doing the formalities for you, as you can see on the video.

OnePlus seemingly are emphasizing on not only the specs sheet of their first smartphone, but also the overall user experience. During an interview a few weeks back, Pete Lau, head of OnePlus, even spoke about how the packaging plays a role in determining how much you like a phone.
