Octa-core Utta X1 Storm with 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM now on sale

The Chinese smartphone industry may be moving towards the higher-end MT6732 and MT6752 based chipsets, but there are many companies that are still dealing in the older MT6592.

With reduced prices of the MT6592 SoC, devices powered by the SoC are now more affordable than ever. Today we learnt about a device called the ‘Utta X1 Storm’ that went on sale with the same processor. Besides the 1.7GHz chipset, there’s also 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of ROM on the device, so you don’t have to worry about storage. What’s more, the device is claimed to have an aluminium frame, something which should give it a sturdy feel and the ability to take some crash landings without breaking into pieces.

NFC isn’t the most popular feature out there, but there are still users that are fans of the technology… and the Utta X1 Storm doesn’t disappoint on that front either. Other specifications of the 5-inch device are: 1280 x 720p resolution with an OGS panel, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front camera, and support for GSM/WCDMA networks.

Hmm OK but you can get phones with FullHD, 64 bit and LTE for about the same price and from Jiayu or better known companies so what’s with this phone that’s worth mentioning it here ?
There was an article about the Gionee Elife 7 for $182 and this is not even comparable to that one.

Not Utta-ly the best price at the moment, as has been said, Gionee Elife 7 is making a mockery of it and of course the dearest S3 :). I hope they sort out the battery issue because it is where the heart is. 🙁
