Official international version of the Meizu m1 note coming soon

meizu m1 note launch

Meizu have posted a teaser over on their official store stating that the affordable Meizu m1 note will be launching soon.

The Meizu m1 note launched in China just before Christmas. The 999 Yuan smartphone has been selling well in China since launch and has even spawned a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 version of the phone.

Gizchina News of the week

For international markets it seems likely that Meizu will be launching the 64bit MT6752 LTE Mediatek version of the phone. The phone also boasts a 5.5-inch 1080 display, 2GB RAM, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 mega-pixel rear, and is currently the only Meizu with dual SIM support.

Pricing for the m1 note hasn’t been announced but it seems likely that it will go on sale for less than $250 to complete with similar spec phones from iOcean, and JiaYu.

Lack of SD card Lack of FM radio Lack of removable battery kick me out from this phone, and i took Jiayu s3.

You’re absolutely right! SDcard is really a deal breaker in a 16GB phone lol, and no removable battery… Jiayu s3 not only give you the advantage to have two batteries and use both, but also give you security, if your battery die you can easily replace it.

Someone that has contacts with the Meizu guys needs to put them back to their senses…
They speak about international versions of phones etc. when they can’t even keep up with Flyme firmwares.
On MX4 we are still on 4.0.4.2i when in Asian firmware they are already in 4.2.2.2A… that’s how you treat your international customers? And then you want to become international…. pfff…
I really like my MX4 and I used to like the company but the way they are treating us lately, they are losing us.

AND THE WORST, is that there is not an official information about it.

Just flash 4.2.2.2A and uninstall the bundled chinese apps if they bother you.

      • intruda
        March 14, 2015

Never understood why people are scared to flash.

They are all the same besides the bundled apps.

A is for Asian Market. My point has nothing to do about scare.
I am talking about international and only that. I know all the possible other firmwares, I’ve tested them but that is not the point. Also there are differences in A and I that it can take some time to explain.
The point is: You (Meizu) wanted to deliver us international firmware. We (international customers) were happy and we bought your awesome device. You keep updating the A firmware and leaving the I behind. We deserve that treatment? NO. We want and expect the same from you with an understanding delay ofc of a week or so.
You guys need to understand that we are the customers and we paid for these devices… these companies, Meizu/Xiaomi/1+1 etc. if they want to go international need to show us the same regard as they show to Asian Market. OR if they are not capable of that, to just give only 1 firmware for all of us and stop this nonsense.

What I’m saying will sound harsh but us international mx4 user think your point is stupid.

The international meizu owners like myself learned from the mx3. They don’t update the I version at the same rate. Get over it.

            There are no differences.

              March 15, 2015

I understand that and I said it that a delay is acceptable. And that’s what my point is basically. They will never become INTERNATIONAL if they keep doing things this way.
If you are satisfied to buy a product and be considered a 2nd level customer by a company that claims that wants to be international, that’s fine… but I am not.
P.S.: Differences there are… 1 of them for example, and most annoying for me, is the trash that are filled up like crazy with the A version. But there are more.

    USA bands please.

Haven’t used lte in a while and thought I wasn’t missing anything. Just bought huawei ascend mate 7 and getting 45mbps down 15 mbps up.

It’s really hard for chinese manufacturers to make phones with USA bands, because the market for lower end smartphones is smaller there than in the rest of the world.
Also, since pretty much the whole rest of the world share a few bands, it’s much more profitable to make a phone targeted internationally than just america. And even if they did make an american phone, all the major carriers in the US have different bands on top of that.

      • bojan radovanovic
        March 14, 2015

yes, but it’s not just that, in USA prices of brand name flagship phones are much lower then in rest of the world. so it’s hard to sell something off contract without support of USA network operators.

      • intruda
        March 14, 2015

I completely understand why they don’t.

I don’t know what huawei does differently but low cost devices with worldwide support is great.

Just wishful thinking from an outsider.

Quite hard to buy even in China at the retail price of 990 yuans…

Where are you? Southern China and HK shops all have it in stock but only the white color. A colleague at work bought one direct from a Meizu store no waiting no reservation no deposit.

        March 15, 2015

I am in Beijing, I went to a Meizu shop, the phone is available but the price is 1299 yuans for 16Gb version! it is possible to buy on JD.com at the normal price but with a “rush sale” system. Otherwise you have to pay for a bundle that cost 200 yuans more.

          March 15, 2015

Yes they are charging more in the stores than online. You can get the 32gb version in HK for equivalent 1400 RMB. Still a lot of phone for 1299.
