According to Gearbest.com there will be, but I don`t see the point of a 3GB entry level device, and well also according to Gearbest pricing will be around 150$ for the regular Redmi 3, so re-sellers will add quite a bit of profit to the original price.

Xiaomi gave prime variants on all redmi’s ..redmi 2,,,note2,,note 3 ,…so it’s nice to have 3 GB RAM as MIUI is heavy

You can always flash a custom ROM, or use a different launcher like most people do.

          • January 11, 2016

Nah. Most people even doesn’t know what is the ROM.

Well, you should not try to be like “most” people and actually learn a thing or two.

I assume majority people reading this website know what is Imported Phone, Custom ROM, Skinned ROM, sideloaded Gapps.

    This… This… This is… Amazing!
Note 2 rewrote the standards for midranger… Now this redmi 3 is going to shake China’s phone market right from the base, setting a high standard for 2016 entry-level devices… And midrangers will follow too!
That’s just amazing, and we see it right at the start of the year (if the note 2 would have came out in the first month of 2015, we hardly would have seen any mt6753 “flagship”).

Other than that… The battery is amazing, but surely it’s not that “double the capacity” they claimed (thl 5000 had a 5000mah battery in 8.9mm thick, slightly taller body). Or maybe their claims are real (sort of) and they didn’t use all of the space for the battery, but i don’t even care! It’s a huge improvement, and finally someone listening what people are asking: a device with a battery big enough to match the rest of the hardware!

at 1.5GHz it should be fine , SD615 at 1.7GHz was problematic.

yup SD 616 pushes 1080p with slight ease…Zenfone 2 laser 6′” has same Chip-set definitely a Level below Nexus 5

Looks cool. 5 inch thin bezels + 4k mah battery. And only 700 yuans. My only regret is that CPU is not on 16/14 nm.

Does anyone know whether the screen on this phone shows fingerprint smudges very badly? I tried the Meizu M2 Note for a while, great phone and battery for the price but awful for fingerprint smudges, have to clean it constantly.
