oneplus 2 review

OnePlus have released a preview version of OxygenOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 for owners of the OnePlus 2 to download and test out.

The update is a preview only so won’t be rolling out at an OTA yet, but instead can be downloaded and installed manually via the OnePlus downloads area. According to the company, the ROM is designed as a preview only and features an updated camera UI, improved fingerprint performance, and overall system wide performance updates including a few more details;

Gizchina News of the week

  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade
  • New OnePlus Camera
  • New launcher setting to support wallpaper picker
  • Shelf upgrade
  • System performance improvement
  • Finger Print performance improvement
  • New setting arrangement
  • Applied March security patch

It is a preview though and not a final build and OnePlus do say that users have experienced slower WIFI speeds after the update, plus your fingerprint data will be lost when updating.

Early reports are that the system is in fact faster than before, we will be installing it today to see how it is on our own OnePlus 2 phones.

    Works great on mine, the OS is quicker and smoother than before. Fingerprint is snappy as well. Great update. However I’m impatiently waiting for your VIVO Xplay 5 review Andi!!! 🙂

    Just a note for people who are installing this without reading up first. Maxxaudio is disabled because you can’t have 3th party apps on a beta build. There are reports that the sound quality is real bad now and will be fixed again with the official build.
