The so-called Xiaomi 17 Max was spotted under the model number 2605EPN8EC and recently passed through China’s SRRC certification. This step is required before a phone can be released, so it’s a strong hint that Xiaomi is getting ready to launch it soon. The certification appeared around mid-April, and current reports point to a possible release window in late May.

While most leaks point to the name Xiaomi 17 Max, there is still some uncertainty. Some sources suggest it could launch under a different name, possibly Xiaomi 17S Pro. Either way, the focus remains the same. This is expected to be the big-screen model in the lineup, aimed at users who prefer larger displays for media, gaming, and multitasking.
