The latest from MGCOOL is an array of close ups of the Explorer 2C, giving us an intimate look at the action camera. As the name goes, the Explorer 2C is meant to survive use in outdoor sports like rock climbing, trekking, etc. For the same, it comes with a body, which when compared to the like of the GoPro Hero 5 and YI 4K camera, is compact and small with a body that provides enough grip while handling. This grip is achieved via a fine matt front cover which provides resistance to scratches and improper handling.

On the spec front, the MGCOOL Explorer 2C sports a Sony IMX078 sensor that can click images upto 20MP and videos at 4K, 24fps and 2K videos at 30fps with H.264 compression support. Under the hood lies a Novatek NT96660 processor. The action camera is fueled by a 1050mAh battery which makes the Explorer 2C capable of delivering 60 minutes of 4K shooting. To increase the amount of light intake and filter out stray light, MGCOOL has integrated a 7-glass sharp lens in the camera, thus leading to better image quality in low light conditions.

Priced at $150, the Explorer 2C provides a good configuration without making a hole in your pocket. It is a good option for photography enthusiasts who do not want to shell a ton of money on an action camera.
