Xiaomi at an early morning September 24th event announced a duo of smartphones – the Mix Alpha and the Mi 9Pro alongside the Mi TV Pro and the MiUI 11. While a whole lot of us expected a Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone with waterfall edges similar to Vivo’s offering, the Chinese firm did surprise us with a Mi Mix Alpha with a display that wraps around the entire body, save for the Sapphire Glass camera strip that makes it short of an entirely all-screen device. The Mi MIX Alpha is believed to be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 that was rumored before the Mix Alpha suddenly set in. Perhaps that essentially means the Mi Mix 4 might never again see the daylight.

Well, a new leak from out of China suggests the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is still very much in the making. The renowned tipster Ice Universe who brake the news in a Weibo post alleged that the Xaiomi Mi Mix 4 hasn’t been scraped, and is, in fact, coming soon. At what point in time we do not know. However, he did hint that the device will feature the same ridiculous 108Mp camera sensor from Samsung.
Mi Mix 4 Rumored Specs
While we do not have specific details, we are of the belief that Xiaomi is only out to test the waters with the Mix Alpha, perhaps to avoid similar Galaxy Fold Delima. So it is plausible the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 might get a wrap-around design similar to the Mix Alpha.
It could also come with the latest from Qualcomm – the overclocked Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. That, however, depends on when Xiaomi intends dropping the device. Previous reports have it that the Xiaomi MIX 4 will come equipped with a 4500 mAh battery and supports 40W fast charging. It could also benefit from a 90Hz display.
