Xiaomi unveils the Mi TV Pro with 8K support

Xiaomi has renewed its Smart TV catalog, introducing today the new Mi TV Pro line. It consists of three models with 43″, 55″ and 65″ diagonals. The manufacturer presents them as high-end products made with the right amount of attention to the choice of materials – for example, the aluminum alloy frame, the back with the carbon fiber finish, the metal base, and the panel enclosed in thin frames have been highlighted which allow it to reach a screen ratio of up to 97%.

Mi TV Pro

All are 4K UHD panels and support playback of 8K video playback. For the hardware core, we have an Amlogic T972 quad-core A55 processor (clock frequency up to 1.9 GHz). With 12nm FinFET production process, combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory.

Mi TV Pro

The audio sector boasts the Dolby Audio and DTS HD support. While among the smart features there is the Xiao AI digital assistant. And the possibility of managing IoT devices. The TVs has WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) and Bluetooth support. Alongside with 3 HDMI ports (one with ARC support) and 2 USB and Ethernet ports.

Pricing and availability of the Mi TV Pro

  •  1,499 yuan (about $211) for the Mi TV Pro 43″
  • 2,399 yuan (about $338) for the Mi TV Pro 55″
  • 3,399 yuan (about $478) for the Mi TV Pro 65″

Pre-orders start today in China, while availability through Xiaomi‘s official sales channels will be on September 27th.

It is worth to mention that alongside the new Smart TVs, there was no lack of news at today’s Xiaomi event, the company has introduced the Mi MIX Alpha and the Mi 9 Pro 5G smartphones, without forgetting MIUI 11, the new operating system of the company.
