Driverless Subway Trains Headed For Guangzhou



Guangzhou are soon to get new driverless subway trains. The APM ( Automated People Mover) will begin service sometime this November in preparation for the 16th annual Asian Games which will be hosted in the mega city situated in the South of China.
The APM will operate along a 3.9 km stretch of track with 9 stations and will be limited to traveling no more than 60km/h. Each train will carry a maximum of 138 passages, with an estimated 50,000 passengers traveling on it per 18 hour day.
