Xiaomi MI2 Will Be China’s First Android Jelly Bean Phone?

More Xiaomi MI2 rumors are circling this time revolving around the price of the new Chinese phone and also what operating system we will see installed on it.

The latest bout of rumors quash recent reports that the new Xiaomi phone will be a dual booting super phone and suggest the MI2 will instead be China’s first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean phone with quad-core CPU. I have to say that this certainly looks more likely than the idea of the new Xiaomi being a dual-boot Android/Windows phone, but it is still likely to disappoint a few fans.

Other rumors which have altered in the latest report are that the MI2 will in fact get a larger battery to cope with the extra power consumption a quad-core CPU is likely to need, with the new rumors saying the Xiaomi MI2 will have a battery no smaller than 1930mAh.

Unfortunately it still looks as though the new Xiaomi Quad-core MI2 will only get a rear camera and will only have 1GB RAM, but worse of all are the reports that the new phone may cost as much as 2499Yuan!
