Mid-range HTC Zara 619d receives network license in China

HTC’s latest mid-range phone, the HTC Zara 619d has just slipped through the Chinese Communication Ministry to pick up at network license.

Gizchina News of the week

The mid-range phone, powered by a 1.4Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, now has the necessary documentation to go on sale across China. Being a mid-range phone the Zara will get a lot of competition from similar Mediatek rivals, so HTC have been smart enough to offer SD card expansion, but the 4.5-inch 540 x 960 display is well below the levels other phone makers are offering.

Pricing hasn’t been announced but it looks likely the HTC Zara will go on sale for the October holiday in China.
