Oppo’s attractive Oppo R1 sighted at the FCC with 4G LTE

Oppo are heading to the US with an updated 4G LTE equipped version of the all glass Oppo R1.

The Oppo R1 has been on sale in China for sometime now and has become a popular choice for customers wanting a lightweight, stylish phone with great camera hardware (the 8 mega-pixel F2.0 sensor in the R1 is the same as the unit in the iPhone 5S). In China the R1 ships with a Mediatek processor and support for local 3G and GSM frequencies, however a new version was spotted by Engadget over at the FCC with LTE support!

Gizchina News of the week

So is the new Oppo R1 sporting the new LTE enabled Mediatek MT6595 or has it been ripped out and replaced with a mid-range Qualcomm processor? We will have to wait to find out.
