Elephone G3 designed with older users in mind

Elephone have published details of their Elephone G3 smartphone with custom UI especially for older smartphone users.

Elephone are saying that they designed the G3 for older smartphone users by creating an alternate Simple UI with large, simple to understand icons. If you want a more traditional looking icon arrangement SimpleUI can be switched to EleUI.

As the model number of the phone suggests, the Elephone also uses a few design elements from the LG G3 including rear mounted volume buttons, below the main camera and LED flash.

The G3 is meant to be a convenient to use device with a low-price, so specs are quite basic and include a dual-core 1.2Ghz Mediatek processor, 4.5-inch WVGA display, 512mb ram and a 3 mega-pixel main camera.

Elephone only published details of the new phone yesterday, so pricing and release dates are not confirmed, however we can’t imagine the Elephone G3 will cost more than $50.
