UMi are in talks with E-commerce portal Flipkart to release the popular UMi Zero to India.
We have received information today that Chinese phone maker UMi are in talks with Flipkart to promote and sell the UMi Zero in India. For Chinese phone makers the ever-growing India phone market is a lucrative proposition and we have seen many brands set up in the country over the past 12 months including Xiaomi and OnePlus.

UMi are obviously thinking about the big picture by talking with Flipkart as opposed to a smaller distributor channel, as the portal could also provide better support and are more competitive price for India’s smartphone fans.
There is still no time scale on when of if this will be finalised, but we are sure we are going to be hearing lots of similar stories over the coming year.
