Ulefone Be Touch 2 alongside Elephone P8000 for Antutu and gaming test

ulefone be touch 2 vs elephone p8000

This video has been recorded to show the difference in speed between the Ulefone Be Touch 2 and Elephone P8000, but it also gives us a good screen and size comparison too.

With rumours that Elephone have already ceased production of the Elephone P7000, the fast moving company has already released the P8000. Specs are largely the same on the P8000 as the P7000 but with a Mediatek MT6753 chipset rather than the 1.7Ghz MT6752.

The video below shows an Antutu benchmark for each phone and also compares how fast each phone loads the benchmarking tool, and also NFS. What is interesting is that although the P8000 is running a 1.3Ghz CPU there seems to be little difference in speed when opening up the game and running it over the 1.7Ghz MT6752.

Gizchina News of the week

If you watched the video all the way through you may have found the comparison of the devices interesting for a few other reasons. First of all we get to see the size of the two phones together. I also noted that the bezels on the P8000 seems narrower than they are on the P7000 (but still ugly).

What really caught my eye though is the screens. The screen on the Elephone P8000 seems to have a yellowish tint to it where as the Ulefone Be Touch panel doesn’t.

Both the Elephone P8000 and Ulefone Be Touch boasts 3GB RAM, Fingerprint scanners and 1920 x 1080 displays, and are on sale now.

    <32,000 Antutu score? FAIL.

Congrats? You got a high number on a test that means nothing in the real world! Antutu is nothing more than an arbitrary number to compare to other arbitrary numbers.

Yes, it’s just an arbitrary # but the low score on the Elephone indicates that something is not optimized, especially when both phones are using the same SoC and 3GB RAM.

No it indicates it didn’t get a high score nothing more, nothing less. Phone companies know how to cheat Antutu to inflate the score, just ask HTC. There are phone with 10,000 point differences that perform exactly the same, and there are phones with lower scores that outperform those with higher scores.

But the score is normal since the ratio between 1.7Ghz and 1.3Ghz is not very far from 46000 and 31000.

And that shows how useless an Antutu score is. If it really was a measure of performance there should be a huge gap between the performance of a phone that scores 31000 and one that scores 46000 but there really isnt. Here is three phones I tested against each other, all had wildly different scores and all of them had near equal performance:

              Galaxy S4 – 28000
              Xiaomi Mi3 – 32000
              Moto X – 18000

The Moto X was actually the best performing of the 3 because what people never take into account when talking about benchmarks is software. The Moto X runs stock Android and was much smoother and quicker than S4 or Mi3 which both run heavily skinned versions of Android.

        • June 29, 2015

They don’t use the same SoC. The P8000 uses the MT6753, the Ulefone Be Touch 2 the MT6752. The MT6753 has a lower CPU clock and a weaker GPU.

Right. in my opinnion the MT6752 is the better choice. Worldwide Frequencies are useless when the manufacturer doesnt support it.

              It depends what you want.
6753 is a little cheaper than 6752 and the autonomy is a little bit better.
For gaming the mt6752 is necessary, otherwise the mt6753 can be a good choice.

It’s well known that some manufacturers doctor the antutu tests so this means nothing. What is clear though is that elephone put up some very misleading presale pictures of their p8000 and the bezels on the actual units now appear to be truly awful.

When the writer says “there is little difference” between Ulefone Be Touch 2 and the P8000, the “little difference” can mean much in real world gaming. Image shift of NFS most wanted is obviously more smooth on Ulefone Be Touch 2. If This is not enough. Have a look at the video where there is obvious skip of frames on P8000 in Antutu 3D video test part while no problem with the Be Touch 2.

MTK6589 and 6589T, 6592 and 6592T and 6595, and MTK6752 are the better chipsets, but manufacturers finally accept the worse 6582, 6592M, and 6753 just to make the phone cheaper. But people don’t need to save 10 US dollars just to suffer the whole year or more. Use better Soc please, manufacturers.
