Chinese phone maker LEAGOO have launched the LEAGOO T1 smartphone in Malaysia as a stylish intro model to the world of smartphones.

LEAGOO had a few interesting smartphone launches in the past but have been quiet until a recent launch in Malaysia.

The Malaysian launch sees the company release the new LEAGOO T1 in the market as a budget phone with decent styling. Meeting the budget nature of the phone the device ships with a quad-core Mediatek chipset, 2GB RAM and just 16GB internal memory (although there is an option to run up to 128GB SD cards).

A 5-inch 2.5D, HD display keeps the handset compact, while an 8 mega-pixel front and 13 mega-pixel rear camera are nice feature highlight for a budget smartphone as is the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner.

Pricing in Malaysia for the T1 is RM 549 which is around $135, and available colours include Champagne gold, Rose gold and Ti grey.

Steven, do you have ACTUAL experience with it? I’m still considering the Shark 1 and want true, objective, comments instead of rants.

Yes with 2 Leagoo phones in the past, both just stopped working after 5-6 months.
With these prices they put up for MT6753 devices, it`s insane to even consider them.
You want a good battery phone? Get the Xiaomi Redmi 3 or Oukitel K10000(although that one is a bit heavy).
Real phones, with actual size batteries.
I actually do smartphone reviews, so I know what I`m talking about.

Leagoo are the worst brand ever. I live in malaysia, anyway my cousin bought a Leagoo’s phone only to found out the touch is screen is erratic. We did exchanged the phone however only to found out(again) that its also have the same problem. Unfortunately, we cant refund the phone as malaysia doesnt have refund policy and the irony is that my cousin bought the phone from Leagoo retail shop itself. The phone itself cost RM800(197 usd) not to mention underspec.
