Xiaomi’s international game isn’t the best, but they’re still pretty active around Asia. Amongst the many countries they compete in, Malaysia is perhaps one of their more popular markets. Many of their devices have received official launches in Malaysia, though usually much later than other countries.
Now, Xiaomi is bringing over their brand new entry-level device, the Redmi 4A, to Malaysia. Plans to bring the Redmi 4A have been in the talks for a while, but now it’s official. The Redmi 4A will come to Malaysia on the 18th of January for RM449, which is about $100.
If you’re in Malaysia and you’re interested in the Redmi 4A, feel free to read our review on it here. Hopefully we’ll see Xiaomi give a similar treatment to other countries pretty soon. Competition is beginning to ramp up, and they’ll need to be as aggressive as possible to survive.
