Specs and presale-start date for Maze Alpha X revealed

Maze Alpha X

Seems like Maze are really getting to the finish line with the successor to the popular Maze Alpha and the Maze Alpha X should be hitting the official presales already next week. Today the company also released some updated specs for the phone, even though sadly still not full list yet. But well something is better than nothing.

Maze Alpha X will be a big one with 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, FHD+ resolution (2160×1080), 2.5D curve, 89.6% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top of it. There will be a choice between 64GB and 128GB versions and interestingly enough they will be also differentiated with rear cameras, the cheaper one running 13MP Sony IMX218 and the better 16MP OV16880 sensor. Both will get 6 GB RAM and 8MP Sony IMX219 front selfie cam.

Gizchina News of the week

There is still no official word about the processor, but some speculative sites has it listed with Helio P25, which seems like quite a logical guess. Phone will also have 3900 mAh battery, USB Type-C port with quick charge or Gorilla Glass 4 on the back with anti-fingerprint coating. From the picture it’s also clear the fingerprint sensor is in the front. Alpha X should be released in black/blue/silver color options to choose from too.

As mentioned the presales should start next week already and you already subscribe for reservations on their website. Pricing should be roughly around $200 for the 64GB and $290 for the 128GB version, which would almost look like maybe some surprise is maybe in store with the processor…Anyway if you dont want to want then the original Maze Alpha is currently available on Tomtop for just $159.99.

But the effect of OV 16880 is worse than Sony. But compared OV16880 with IMX 218, yes, it’s the better one.

I don’t think so, maybe before, OV is better than Sony, but now I think Sony is better than Ov.
