First Performance Test of Snapdragon 845 Appears Online

A few weeks ago, Qualcomm officially announced the Snapdragon 845 processor and now, its performance has appeared on the Geekbench database. Form Geekbench assessment the Snapdragon 845 chip got a single-threaded score of 2400 points and a multi-threaded score of 8300 points. This Soc obviously has some advantages over the likes of Snapdragon 835, Kirin 970, and Exynos 8895. Its single-core performance is an upgrade of about 20% while the multi-core increased by about 30%. Another major highlight of this processor is its inbuilt GPU. It comes with an Adreno 630 GPU which has a 30% better performance. Its power consumption is 30% better and it has almost 2.5 times more video processing efficiency than the SD835’s built-in Adreno 540.

Gizchina News of the week

In addition, Renderscript summarizes the performance of Snapdragon 845 relative to Snapdragon 835. RenderScript is a low-level, high-performance programming language for 3D rendering and processing-intensive computing (3D playback, and more on CPU-intensive computing) thus, it is a valuable reference for GPU performance. SD835 got a RenderScript score of 7899, while the Snapdragon 845 racked up 13948.

From this,  the SD845 GPU is actually 56.63% more efficient than that of its predecessor. However, from such test, we cannot confirm if the performance of Snapdragon 845 GPU will be perverted, but at least we can be sure that in some tests its performance compared to Snapdragon 835 will make radiant changes
