Specs will be fairly modest compared to today’s standards. The Nokia 1 is expected to house 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. An HD IPS display panel of unknown size is also being reported on the phone. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Nokia 1 will be its price.

According to the tweet, Nokia 1 will start at a price of 5,990 Roubles (Rs 6,550 approx). Moreover, even Huawei is said to be developing an Android Go phone and will be priced 4,990 Roubles, much lower than Nokia’s rumoured price.

Android Go has been launched by Google with the aim to penetrate regions which have low bandwith and poor internet. It is also meant to be pocket-friendly and as such will be seen in entry-level handsets mainly. It comes with Google’s set of stock apps but in a condensed form that saves storage and RAM. Recently, Indian phone maker Lava also disclosed its plans to make an Android Go phone for India.

The Nokia 1 is expected to be released in March 2018, according to current info.
