This week has been marked by a number of Asus handsets that are being revealed before the time. Earlier today, we’ve got a glimpse of the look of the upcoming Asus Zenfone 5, with the so controversial top notch. Now, a new mysterious handset just popped out in the AnTuTu database, revealing high-grade specifications.
With the season of high-end smartphones, packing the best of technology, set to start on MWC 2018, a lot of OEMs are showing their intentions with the newest Snapdragon 845. However, Asus has traced a parallel path since last year, being more focused on mid-range devices rather than flagship smartphones.
Apparently. this is about to change. According to a Screenshot leaked through AnTuTu database, the Taiwanese manufacturer has a flagship device codenamed as Asus Z01RD. The handset sports the latest Snapdragon 845 paired with Adreno 630 GPU. The multi-tasking power is ensured by 6GB of RAM, while the files capacity is defined by 64GB of Storage.
The Z01RD comes running Android 8.0.0 out the box, which also confirms that this will be a Treble-compliant device. While the screen size wasn’t revealed, we know that the handset will have a panel with 2246x1080p pixels, which may result in an 18:5:9 aspect ratio, just like Samsung and some other OEMs are using.
Lastly, but not least, the handset breaks the AnTuTu 200,000 points barrier with exact 238,129 points. There is no word or confirmation if this handset will be part of the Asus Zenfone 5 series or if it will be a separated device from a different flagship series. Asus is preparing an event for MWC 2018, so stay tuned for more details about its smartphones and possibly about this new flagship smartphone.
