Huawei Y9 (2018) gets leaked by FCC

Huawei’s upcoming budget Y9 (2018) has made an appearance at the FCC – US equivalent to the Chinese TENAA. Despite all the controversies and setbacks in the US which includes the failed partnership with AT&T and the scandal involving the fake user’s reviews at BestBuy. The Chinese Behemoth keeps pushing forward its smartphone campaign in the competitive market.

Giving a look at the leaked pictures, the Huawei’s newest smartphone appears to follow the current 18:9 trend that was massively adopted by the company. The tall display carries a simplistic design with the company’s name placed at the bottom and a dual-camera setup on the upper part, alongside the earpiece and the sensors.

On the rear, the handset carriers the same aluminum build that got popularized by the Mate and Honor smartphones. Furthermore, we have the usual double-camera setup that doesn’t boast the Leica branding, something exclusive from Huawei’s flagships. According to reports, this dual setup will consist of a 13MP unit coupled by another 2MP sensor for the Portrait Effect. Placed in the center we have a Fingerprint Sensor that sports a shiny contrast around it.

Gizchina News of the week

Looking at the Huawei Y9 (2018) side frames, we have a Power Button and a Volume Rocker placed on the right side of the device. Huawei chose the left side of the smartphone to put the Tray that will house the Dual SIMs or Single SIM + MicroSD card. On the device’s bottom, the glorious 3.5mm headphone jack is safe alongside a micro-USB connector. Sadly, Huawei will not be making the move to the newer USB-C standard with the Y9. On the smartphone top part, there is only a small noise cancellation microphone.

Even though this leak reveals most of the handset design and appearance there is no information regarding the specifications. All we know is that this handset appeared at the FCC codenamed as FLA-LX2 (Y9 2018) and will sit in the mid-range segment. Since the FCC clearance is one of the last steps before a smartphone launch in the US we can state that the Huawei Y9 (2018) is about to be launched at the Mr.Trump country. While it doesn’t come, we keep informing you about any new leak.
