OPPO A83 Pro with more RAM and storage launched in India


Remember the Oppo A83 smartphone that was first launched in China back in 2017, and later made available in India earlier this year? The company once today has announced a refresh of the device, dubbed the Oppo A83 Pro.

Forget the Pro moniker, the Oppo A83 pro is virtually the same device as the Oppo A83 with same designs, but with slight differences in their internal makeups. Th upgraded Oppo A83 pro has more RAM (4GB), more onboard storage (64GB), and of course, comes with a higher price tag in relation to the base Oppo A83.

Other specs and features are all the same. Priced at Rs. 15,990 in India, the new Oppo A83 pro will have to share market figures with the likes ofĀ theĀ Redmi Note 5 Pro,Ā Vivo V7, andĀ Samsung On7 Prime.

A major highlight of the device is the lack of the fingerprint reader, Oppo has instead opt for the facial recognition feature which enables one unlock the screen using your face, the feature is said to have been greatly optimized to perform optimally in dim-light conditions. The device features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (1440 x 720) LCD panel, with 18:9 aspect ratio and powered byĀ MediaTek 6763T; clocked at 2.5 GHz, and coupled with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB of storage.

Powered by a 3180mAh, the Oppo A83 pro uses aĀ 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel camera front-facing sensor. the Oppo A83 pro is packed with AI beautification and other software features for selfies.

TheĀ Oppo A83 Pro still runs Android 7.1 Nougat-based ColorOS 3.2 out of the box, and comes inĀ Black and Rose Gold color options, and should be available for sales in the coming days.
