The Google Home and Home Mini are finally official in India months after their initial launch. The Google Home will be available for Rs. 9,999 and the Home Mini will retail for Rs. 4,499. They are priced a little bit more than they are in the US. No surprise there.
Google has launched these two amidst the rumors that they are working on a mid range Pixel phone aimed specifically at the Indian Market. Don’t get too excited though, there is a high possibility that it might just be a rumour since Google dropped the “affordable flagship” series, their Nexus line for the more premium Pixel phones.
But both the smart assistants come with a few perks and offers depending upon where you buy them from. All the users will be getting a free subscription to Google Play Music for 6 months, discounts on Saavn and Gaana. HDFC is giving a 10% cashback offer if you buy it using your HDFC credit card, while Flipkart is throwing in a JioFi router for free. Reliance Digital and JioFi stores are giving the router as a bundle with 100GB of 4G data. Croma has a bundle with the Philips Hue bulbs, which I think is one of the best deals out there. The Home will be available in chalk color while the Home Mini will be available in black and charcoal and coral (coming soon).
