Oppo F9 Pro with water-drop notch design close to launch in India

While Oppo is working towards launching the successor of the Oppo R15 in China, the company is also close to releasing an F series phone in India. A new teaser on the company’s official India Twitter handle today revealed that the brand is launching the Oppo F9 Pro soon. Moreover, the Oppo F9 was teased on the brand’s Malaysian channels which indicates an August launch is expected.

There are quite a few details we know about the Oppo F9 Pro despite it being a relatively new appearance on the rumour radar. Thanks to its close affinity to the R series, we believe the Oppo F9 Pro will have a similar design. That is hinted in the teaser too as it depicts a water-drop shaped notch. Incidentally, we just reported the Oppo R17 also has a similar design in a story earlier today.

Besides this, the Oppo F9 Pro is also expected to feature VOOC Charge, something that is lacking in the Oppo F7, its predecessor. This was also revealed in a teaser today. Besides this, the Oppo F9 Pro will also be bestowed with a similar dual camera setup to the Oppo R17 on the back. On the processor side of things, there might be no changes as speculation suggests a MediaTek Helio P60 CPU for the upper-mid-range device.

There are still no launch dates but we expect a launch in the coming weeks as the Oppo R17 also looks close to launch in China as it passed TENAA.
