Gizchina News of the week

One of the biggest highlights of this smartphone is the use of 3D structured light technology, which makes it the first flagship smartphone to sport the 3D structured light system in the Android camp. This technology makes its face unlocking feature safer and faster. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition also supports an on-screen fingerprint sensor and from the launch notes, it uses the world’s first pressure-sensitive fingerprint sensor with a built-in high-sensitivity pressure sensor, to improve the unlocking recognition rate.

In addition, to the Snapdragon 845 processor, the Xiaomi Mi 8 EE comes with a dual-frequency GPS. This GPS supports L1+L5 dual-frequency positioning, and the dual-frequency signal cooperation can effectively solve the problem of inaccurate positioning of single-frequency mobile phones. It is also the first smartphone to come with a dual-frequency GPS.
