Android’s new system, Android P is just a few days away if the recent leak by Evan Blass turns out to be true. Yesterday, we reported that Android P may be launched on August 20 judging on the clue given by @evleaks. Google has been quite open with the preview test phase of Android P. In addition to its own Google Pixel series, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Nokia, Sony, vivo, OPPO, and Essential models have also been added to the preview. Now, MIUI has officially announced that Xiaomi MIX 2S in preparation for upgrading Android P. This should make the Mi MIX 2S the first Xiaomi device to receive Android P.
As of now, Xiaomi has already evaluated the upgrade schedule (to Android Oreo and Android P) for its devices and it will be announced after confirmation. Android P is the next-generation operating system launched by Google at the I/O Developers Conference. It is designed to simulate recently popularized notch on many smartphones. In the developer mode, Android P can simulate the notch to adapt and optimize the status bar (time moved to the left).
In addition, Android P also improves the functionality and visibility of the notification bar. Simply put, the notification bar is more practical, such as replying directly to the notification bar, viewing more messages, pictures, etc. The new system also allows simultaneous reception of data streams from multiple cameras, which can be used for out-of-focus imaging, stereoscopic vision and more.
