With the launch of the iPhone X, the notch screen has quickly become a trend in the mobile world. In order to pursue a higher screen ratio, some people prefer mobile phones with notch screen, while others still aren’t sold on it. That shouldn’t be a problem though, if you were looking to buy a more affordable device from phone maker CUBOT as they have two very similar options with and without notch in the names of CUBOT P20 and CUBOT X18 Plus.

Down below we have a quick specs comparison.

From the comparison of the parameters in the table above, we see that the only one difference between the CUBOT P20 and CUBOT X18 Plus is the size of the screen.

The P20 does indeed pack a larger 6.18-inch 19:9 notch screen with a resolution of 2246 x 1080, meanwhile the X18 Plus tops at 5.99-inch 18:9 full screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080. Although the screens are not the same, they have the same PPI of 403, so we can expect pretty much the same display quality.

Other identical configurations: the processors of these two mobile phones are both MTK6750T, which is a mature CPU with good performance and low power consumption. There are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on board, which is good for a low to mid-ranger, they will run smoothly without hiccups.

In the camera department, the rear dual camera is 20MP plus 2MP, while the front camera is a 13MP shooter. In terms of the battery life, they are both equipped with 4000mAh batteries, so you can expect a full day of normal usage out of both handsets. The Cubot P20 and X18 Plus also run stock Android 8.0 Oreo without any bloatware added.

In short, the CUBOT P20 and CUBOT X18 Plus are very good mobile phones in the current market at the price of around $150. They are two cost-effect devices whether you like the top notch or not. What do you guys think? Notched CUBOT P20 or Notch-less CUBOT X18 Plus.
