Nokia has made a resurgent entry into the smartphone market after a take over by HMD Global. The old brand raised quite a few eyebrows with its Nokia X series in China that was priced as aggersively as Xiaomi. With the year 2018 coming to an end, a survey by The Mobile Indian reports that the Nokia 6.1, 6.1 Plus were two of the most searched phones in 2018.
Nokia had a fairly busy year as it introduced 14 smartphones in its portfolio for this year. This includes low-end handsets such as Nokia 1 Android Go handset all the way up to premium devices like the Nokia 8 Sirocco. The survey conducted with around 2 million visitos data on the portal indicated the Nokia 6.1 and 6.1 Plus are two of the most popular device.
The biggest selling points of the Nokia 6.1 Plus aka Nokia X6 and its smaller brother were affordable pricing and attractive premium looks. The Nokia 6.1 Plus was priced Rs 15,999.
For that price, it offered a Snapdragon 636 SoC, a 5.8-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, 16MP front (plus 5MP secondary) and rear cameras, and a 3060mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Realme was one of the newcomers that attracted a lot of attention in the last few months of 2018 along with Xiaomi. The two handset makers were best sellers during the festive occasion of Diwali in India.
