Xiaomi Mi 9 will arrive with in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple rear camera

We recently heard that the next Xiaomi Mi 9 will have a triple rear camera configuration, Now a new reports from China offers us a complete list of device specifications.

The rear camera system is triple but not the way we expected. The phone supposedly will have a 48 MP main camera (using the Sony IMX586 sensor), a secondary camera of 12 MP and a ToF 3D camera.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 will have an AMOLED screen of 6.4″ 19:9 FHD+ with a water drop notch that will house a 24 MP front camera with Sony IMX576 sensor. Its front design will be very similar in appearance to the OnePlus 6T.

On the other hand, the design of the back will resemble to the Huawei P20 Pro, especially in regard to the arrangement of the camera. A large module with two cameras and then a smaller module below. All of them will be aligned to the left, which is quite usual for Xiaomi.

Gizchina News of the week

It’s no wonder that the Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with a Snapdragon 855 processor with the X24 LTE modem (the most powerful one ever manufactured by Qualcomm). The combinations of RAM and storage will start from 6GB + 128 GB , and this entry model will supposedly cost CNY 2,999 (about $ 435).

The fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the screen, and the phone will run Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 at the top. It will have a 3500mAh battery with fast charge of 32W but without wireless charging support.

It is believed that the dimensions of the telephone are 155 x 75 x 7.6 mm. It should be available in March, so its announcement in the MWC at the end of February seems very likely.
