Nokia makes MWC 2019 event official, to finally unveil the Nokia 9 PureView

Little by little, the different mobile phone manufacturers that will attend the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona are setting the days of their presentations. We already had LG and now we have Nokia, although Samsung already took charge of stealing part of the spotlights to warn that their Galaxy S10 would arrive a few days before, at an event held in San Francisco.

HMD CPO Juho has just teased Feb 24 as the day when we should be able to tune into HMD’s MWC 2019 showdown.

Of course, we’re far more interested in exactly what Nokia-branded devices might be coming out on Sunday, February 24. While there can be no guarantees a month or so in advance of the launch event, the list of suspects includes a Nokia 8.1 Plus and Nokia 6.2 with matching display holes, as well as the perennially delayed Nokia 9 PureView flagship.

Last year, Nokia already prepared several phones to be announced on the Mobile World Congress. One of them was the Nokia 8 Sirocco, a reissue of the previous Nokia 8 that came with more power and a pretty attractive design, but there was also time for less powerful and equally attractive phones.

The truth is that Nokia has achieved a lot in a very short time, and that the Finnish brand has managed to recover part of its former weight in the minds of consumers. By the time it has managed to sneak into the Top 10 best-selling brands, we will see what happens in the future. But for now, we’ll see what it has to say in Barcelona.
