Xiaomi Mi Max 4 and Mi Max 4 Pro will arrive with a 7.2-inch screen

The huge phablets of the Xiaomi Mi Max series are usually presented in the second quarter but this does not prevent the rumor machine from churning out the first indiscretions on the fourth generation, which should include Xiaomi Mi Max 4 and Xiaomi Mi Max 4 Pro.

The source is once again Weibo, the well-known Chinese social network, from which leaked the alleged technical characteristics of the two devices, with a lot of possible selling prices of the different variants. The main feature is obviously the huge screen that this year should exceed 7 inches reaching 7.2 inches with a notch and a smaller frames.

Both sides of the new Xiaomi smartphones should also be protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 that should give a premium appearance to the device. Under the body we should find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform flanked by 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory.

Xiaomi seems intent on bringing high-end photographic compartments on all its devices, so that even Xiaomi Mi Max 4 should use the 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor already seen on Redmi Note 7, with support for Super Night Scene mode to improve the quality of night shots.

The other technical features would include a 5,800 mAh battery with support for the 18W fast charge and Android 9 Pie on which the MIUI 11 custom interface could run . The possible prices would be 1,599 yuan (about $238) for the 4 + 64 GB version, 1,799 yuan (about $268) for the 6 + 64 GB and 1,999 yuan (about $298) for the 6 + 128 GB version.

There should be few differences between the Mi Max 4 and the Pro version, the last would use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform. Price information is missing, but we will be able to talk about it in the next few months.

Note that the technical specifications are very similar to those of Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, so they must be taken with a lot of doubt, at least until there is more certain informations.
