Meizu Zero crowdfunding makes only 45% of its goal


A couple of weeks ago, Chinese manufacturer, Meizu, released the first holeless smartphone which it called Meizu Zero. This smartphone after release was put on crowdfunding on Indiegogo and the company set a $100,000 target. After several weeks of crowdfunding, this device was only able to raise $45,998 which is about 45% of the target. Meizu Zero’s main selling point is that it is the world’s first non-porous mobile phone, the concept is extremely advanced.

On January 23, the company released Meizu Zero. The fuselage is completely free from any opening and it integrates a unibody ceramic design. The whole body has no holes and no physical button. This smartphone comes in bright porcelain black and kiln white color. It is IP68 dustproof and waterproof certified and can survive for 30 minutes underwater.

At the same time, Meizu Zero also supports mSound 2.0 sound technology, virtual side pressure button, mEngine 2.0 linear motor, eSIM virtual card, air card issuing and other technologies. The mobile phone adopts a 5.99-inch AMOLED ultra-clear comprehensive screen, and also uses an on-screen fingerprint scanner. It is equipped with a 20-megapixel face recognition front camera, and the rear continues the Meizu 16th Sony IMX380 12MP+20MP dual-camera combination.

Specifically, the machine uses unibody integrated ceramic body, body-free, no physical button design, support IP68 level dustproof and waterproof, can be soaked under water for 30 minutes. To this end, Meizu applied mSound2.0 screen sound technology, screen fingerprint, virtual side pressure button, mEngine2.0 linear motor, eSIM virtual card, air card, 18W wireless fast charge, wireless USB 3.0 and other technologies.

    Because people are not fool enough to be excited about useless gimmicks. I prefer real buttons, real USB-C port and a real headphone jack!

    People want headphone jack and usb c. Heck, throw in micro HDMI as well. The more ports the better

    Big chinese companies ( like : Meizu, Xiaomi ) had turned crowfunding idea into parody. It was not meant to act as presales of upcoming products of fat, money rich companies. They are trying to sell us pig in a poke.
