In a photo published by Redmi manager, we can see a mysterious smartphone laying on the table. It made a huge stir around it. Many think it’s the forthcoming Redmi flagship sporting the Snapdragon 855 chip. But what’s confusing, this handset adopts not the drop screen design but the full-screen design. Plus, the photo reveals it will be using pop-up camera technology. If so, the previously-leaked mysterious Xiaomi phone is not the next-gen Mi device, but the Redmi top-end model.
As for the key features of the Redmi flagship, although there have been some changes in the shape, it is expected to sport a 6.4 -inch display with an FHD+ resolution. Besides the 2D face recognition, it also should support optical on-screen fingerprint unlocking technology. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 processor and is available in 6GB and 8GB memory versions. Under the hood, this smartphone is going to host a 4000mAh battery. But it would support the 27W fast charging like the Xiaomi Mi 9. Instead, it is said to support Redmi Note 7 Pro’s 18W fast charging. The Redmi phone will come with an Android Pie out of the box.
On the front, in the lifting structure, the Redmi’s handset will sport a 32MP camera. It is possible to use the Samsung GD1 sensor with electronic image stabilization and real-time HDR. As for the rear camera, it should use a 48MP three-camera design. But the rest of the sensors are not known yet.
