The Oppo Reno 2 is all set to become official tomorrow, however, Chinese retailer JD.com went ahead listing the handset specs along with a couple of high-quality renders.
The leaked images confirm that the Reno 2 will be offered in at least three colors and also looks similar to the Reno 10x Zoom Edition announced back in April. In counterpart to this zoom edition, the Reno 2 will feature an additional camera but will lack the periscope module. Judging by the images, the Reno 2 will be another of Oppo’s masterpieces when it comes to a stunning design.
The listing also confirms some of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The premium handset will boast a 6.5-inch display with DCI-P3 color gamut and total brightness of 500nits. Although the listing didn’t mention the resolution, we already know that it will have an FHD+ panel thanks to TENAA.
Oppo already confirmed that this handset will ship with Snapdragon 730G and the listing confirms 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. The camera department will be led by a quad-camera array comprising 48MP main, 13MP tele, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor units. Of course, the neat pop-up camera will make a comeback in the sequel with its unusual design. This powerful camera setup will come with Ultra Dark Mode, Ultra Steady Mode, 5x Hybrid Zoom, and 20x Digital Zoom.
All details about the Reno 2 will be revealed tomorrow during the launch event. So stay tuned for more details about this new full-screen champion.
