HP, earlier today, launched a brand-new laptop to its Elite series and the company is calling it Elite Dragonfly. HD Elite Dragonfly is a premium business laptop designed to offer a high-end experience at a compact size. Above all, the laptop falls into the lightweight category and packs in an impressive battery for long-lasting power. Along with the Elite Dragonfly, the California-based company revealed two curved monitors dubbed HP S340c and HP E344c.
HP Elite Dragonfly: Specifications, Features
Starting off with the build, HP Elite Dragonfly is built from CNC-machined magnesium making it much more durable yet lightweight. The entire chassis of the laptop is covered with oleophobic coating to prevent fingerprint smudges. The laptop features a 13.3-inch touch-enabled display in both 1080p and 4K resolution. For an added protection, the display comes with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. If you’re more privacy inclined, HP is also offering a model with SureView privacy screen. The laptop has a screen-to-body-ratio of 86%. Under the hood, the Elite Dragonfly is powered by Intel’s 8th-gen Core i3/i5/i7 processors paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 2TB SSD.
The Elite Dragonfly follows the Intel Athena program meaning the laptop should offer a premium high-end experience. Coming to the connectivity, the laptop comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Additionally, you can also opt for the optional Intel XMM 7360/7560 4G/LTE modem with 4×4 antennas and an optional GbE adapter. The laptop includes Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB Type-C port, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, full-size HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack.

HP has also added numerous softwares which focusses more on health and security. In fact, HP Elite Dragonfly is the first business-convertible laptop to come with HP Workwell software pre-installed. For those who’re unaware, HP Workwell advices users to take a break and do exercises. It also offers tips to users to improve work-life balance. Apart from this, the laptop comes with HP Sure Sense that uses Artificial Intelligence to protect users from malware attacks. Another interesting aspect of the laptop is its battery life which, as per the claims, can deliver up to 24.5 hours of juice on a single charge.
As far as pricing is a concern, HP Elite Dragonfly starts with a price tag of USD 1,549. The laptop will be available for purchase starting from October 25.
HP S430c and HP E344c Curved Monitor
Apart from the laptop, HP has also announced two curved monitor display named HP S430c and HP E344c. The S430c features a big 43.4-inch curved panel and is equivalent to two 24-inch diagonal display. The display also comes with HP Device Bridge allowing users to control two PCs simultaneously. It also features pop-up privacy webcam and an embedded mic for video calling. HP S430c is priced at USD 949 and will be available for purchase from November 4. The E344c, on the other hand, packs 34-inch curved display and supports three-way adjustment. You can adjust height, tilt and swivel. The display features a WQHD resolution and has an aspect ratio of 21:9. The display is priced at USD 599 and will up for grabs from October 7.
