Tim Cook: iPhone sales will initiate a new growth cycle in the smartphone market

Apple iPhone 11 series

American manufacturer, Apple, has a lot of sales techniques under its belt but price reduction was never one of them. However, with the lower than expected sales of its 2018 iPhones, it quickly adjusted its prices and even introduced price-cuts in some markets like China. Its cheapest 2019 iPhone 11 is quite popular because it is cheaper than last year’s cheapest (iPhone XR). Now, the company has to cope with the huge traffic for its 2019 iPhones – especially the iPhone 11. Today, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, said in an interview that he is not worried about the sales of the iPhone at all.

According to him, he expects a new growth cycle in the smartphone market. However, he did not say what he means by “a new growth cycle”. On the tax dispute between Apple and the European Union, Tim Cook said that Apple believes that it pays taxes at the right place and calls for a system that will determine where to pay taxes.

According to the latest reports, Apple has told suppliers to increase the output of the iPhone 11 series by up to 10%, or 8 million. In the past, Apple was quite conservative about placing orders. After the increase in production, the iPhone 11 series will have higher bookings than last year. Since the official launch, multiple versions of the Apple iPhone 11 series are officially out of stock or delayed.
