Gizchina News of the week

By next year, there will be a large-scale deployment of 5G SA network. However, most of the 5G phones on the market today are 5G NSA mobile phones that only support “4G core + 5G base stations”. At present, only Huawei and Honor’s 5G mobile phones can support both SA and NSA networks. These devices can successfully access 5G network anywhere in China.

Honor has previously demonstrated the strength of Honor V30 at Huawei’s 5G lab. The Honor 5G phone will come with the Kirin 990 series chip. This chip comes with Huawei’s most advanced 5G technology and is the first to support both NSA/SA dual architecture and TDD/FDD. The Kirin 990 5G chip is a 5G SoC based on 7nm and EUV technology. It is the smallest 5G mobile phone chip solution in the industry. Since it has an in-built 5G baseband, it can realize 5G network without an external 5G chip.
