Vivo Z5i Launched in China with 5000mAh battery as Rebranded Vivo U3

Vivo has launched yet another budget smartphone dubbed Vivo Z5i in its homeland i.e. China. The smartphone maker further expands the Z lineup which already consists of Vivo Z5 and Vivo Z5x. The brand has now added the third device to its Z5 lineup. Surprisingly, the all-new Z5i is nothing but a rebranded version of Vivo U3. The smartphone comes with the same specifications and features but with higher RAM and storage. For those who’re unaware, the U3 was launched in the country last month.

Vivo Z5i: Price in China, Availability

The smartphone comes with a price tag of 1,798 Yuan (roughly $256) in China. The smartphone is available in two different color options namely Glazed Black and Jade Blue. Currently, the device is up for pre-order only while the shipping will begin from November 28. Interestingly, the same smartphone follows the Vivo U20 moniker in the Indian market.

Vivo Z5i is equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display features a waterdrop notch on the front which houses the front selfie camera. Thanks to the thin bezels and a sizeable chin, the device comes with a screen-to-body-ratio of 90.3 percent. Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory. The internal memory is expandable via MicroSD slot.

In terms of optics, the device features a triple camera module at the back featuring 16MP primary lens, 8MP ultrawide angle lens, and 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. For biometrics, there is a fingerprint sensor at the back along with software-enabled Face Unlock. All of these are backed by a powerful 5,000mAh battery with support of 18W dual-engine fast charging.

Furthermore, the device comes with features Jovi AI voice assistant, Jovi Smart Screen, Jovi homepage and smart desktop. To enhance overall gaming performance, the phone uses multi-turbo tech and Game Cube 7.0. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM support, GPS and 3.5mm headphone jack.
