Motorola released Motorola One Power back in the last year with Android 8.1 Oreo. It was a strange choice, considering that Android Pie was already out when the handset got released. Despite this controversial move, the company pushed Android 9 Pie update to the mid-range device. Now, owners of this smartphone will be glad to know that this year’s Android 10 is finally making way to the One Power.
The release isn’t a surprise after all Motorola started the Android 10 closed beta program in the last month. It’s interesting to see that the company managed to squash all the bugs in less than a month. According to Motorola’s official support page, Motorola One Power started to receive the OTA update on December 10. It’s a staged rollout that is slowly spreading across regions where the smartphone is available.
Motorola states that the update should reach all devices only by January 10. The update introduces all the goodies brought by Google with Android 10. Gone are the dessert-based names, but in counterpart, it introduces new UI elements, revamped share menu and Gestures Navigation. Interestingly enough, Motorola also managed to deliver December Security Patch with this release. Last but not least, the update includes stability improvements.
Android 10 update represents the second major Android update coming for this smartphone after Android Pie. Only time will tell if will receive future Android versions, but for now, users can enjoy the latest one available.
