Xiaomi crowdfunds the Gigabee smart walkie-talkie for 399 yuan ($57)

These products are approved by Xiaomi and the company is also involved in the manufacturing process. Just like its work with the likes of Huami, Dr. Bei, Yeelight, Mijia, etc, Xiaomi now has a new product with Gigabee. The Gigabee smart walkie-talkie is currently on Xiaomi crowdfunding for 399 yuan ($57). Salient specs of this device include 4G, WiFi networking, as well as a huge 5000 kilometers connection.

According to the release notes, the Gigabee smart walkie-talkie support 4G full-network intercom. It also comes with a free 4G card for one year (Chinese users only). This walkie-talkie uses a professional Internet intercom platform. This can achieve a parallel intercom for millions of users. In addition, the conversation content supports real-time encryption.
